Enjoyment made easy. The Saeco Odea Giro offers design created by BMW Group DesignworksUSA to please all coffee epicures who prefer a sovereign style. Soft lines and inviting shapes give this machine a very special character in every way. The components and features are placed to simplify its every function; just push a button to have everything adjusted to your taste. The Giro interface allows you to choose the amount and aroma of your favorite coffee, the drip tray height is adjustable and thanks to Rapid Steam®, you can create a creamy milk froth in just seconds. Made to last long and to offer the same standards with every cup of coffee, the Odea models make a statement in flavor as well as quality. With the Rapid Steam® technology available in the Odea Giro, it's just a matter of seconds between brewing your espresso and frothing milk. The long pannarello arm can froth milk in almost any sized container, and also dispenses hot water. For perfect-tasting coffee every time. The ceramic grinder is Saeco's most recent innovation, available in all new models of the Saeco range of automatic coffee machines. After careful research, Saeco finally chose this material to put an end to grinding with metal components. Ceramic is inert, and thus ensures the best results without altering the flavor of the coffee. Moreover, it is perfectly safe to use. The new ceramic grinder also provides a more consistent grind, allowing perfect dosing and blending, and giving you more control over the density and body of your coffee. And that's not all - the amount of coffee residue left in the cup is substantially reduced. Long-lasting, minimum noise! Thanks to its sturdy build, the ceramic coffee grinder will quietly grind to the same consistency and high standards for a longer period of time. The drip tray can be easily raised or lowered manually with a simple touch, allowing for different cup sizes. Espresso cups or glasses can easily be accommodated.

Worked fine for a while. Coffee quality good, nice frothing. Then, after about year, it began to leak water from beneath. When this got to the point of flooding the counter, we sought service. Nearest Saeco-registered service center (and the only one in Missouri) was 100 miles away. Dropped it off, left the required $75 deposit. It took the service shop a NINE MONTHS to receive parts. And, it turns out, not all the parts were sent. Service bill: $200 (1/3 the cost of the machine)ON WARRANY. After another 200 mile round trip, it was back in the kitchen. It lasted 2 weeks, and completely stopped functioning. Among other things, the frothing stopped working That's all for this SAECO. "Superautomatic" sounds too good to be true, and it is. Advice: 1) don't buy SAECO machines 2) don't buy any machine lacking reviews after at least a year of use. Read... However after I mailed faulty machine back it took me a month of frustration, calls, emails, etc, until finally replacement was send. Stay away from Saeco if you can. If you bought it from Costco or Starbucks just take it back, instead of Saeco recommendation in the box: "do not take it back, call us ,blah, blah" By Jose Chevrette (Montral, Quebec Canada) - See all my reviews This review is from: Saeco 658 Odea Giro 15-Bar-Pump Automatic Espresso Machine (Kitchen) Hi, We got the Odeo Giro for Christmas. We took it out of the box and did every step mentionned in the instructions for the first use...And it seems that there is an electronic problem, because the red light is on, signaling a problem with the coffee or water level, but everything is FINE, the red light keeps turning on...and still no coffee is brewing, no water is coming out of the hot water spout!!!To make the matter worse, the person who gave it to us bought it where they live (in the Usa), but gave it to us in Canada (where we live), and Saeco said that the minute the machine gets out of the Usa, the warranty in annuled!!!! what a shame! I have to say that before the Odea Giro I had the via venento fro Saeco for a few years, which was previously owned by my mother, and I NEVER had a problem with it...so 1st- Don't buy an electronic coffee machine from Saeco 2-Make sure it is not a gift for someone in Canada if you buy it in the usa!!!!! |
